Singing Round 205 – Perils and Gratitude

Here’s a great quote for Thanksgiving set in a round with a range of just a 6th.   Every day I can sing is a blessing and a blessing ten-fold if I can sing with others.  That’s what this quote means to me.

I struggled with this round because I couldn’t decide how to end the phrase.  I wanted it to go up–  the inflection connotes a question.  For a while I had it end on Do– which felt weird because the melody has a major tonal center while the harmony is definitely a minor tonality.  I ended on “La” and not “Mi” because the melody felt more complete.  This sounds just great with the last note of the melody on “Mi.”

TMI, right?  Jeez.  Enjoy and sing sing sing!
